Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Worker - Glow

Here at Glow we’re on a mission to end relationship abuse, we’re campaigning for change and providing support throughout Staffordshire and surrounding areas.
 

We’re looking for an Assistant Domestic Abuse Practitioner to work alongside the Service Team Leader to provide support to those in crisis at our Refuge, you’ll help them regain control of their lives and help them learn to live independently.

You’ll need to provide tailored, emotional, practical support, creating action plans and helping customers achieve them. You’ll manage tenancies and ensure customers understand what they need to do to maintain a home. Our refuge is funded by various organisations and agencies so you’ll need to do all this meeting funding requirements, targets and objectives.

Relief Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Here at Glow we’re on a mission to end relationship abuse, we’re campaigning for change and providing support throughout Staffordshire and surrounding areas.

We’re looking for a relief Assistant Domestic Abuse Practitioner to help out when our domestic abuse services are stretched and the team need support. You won’t have contracted hours, but we’ll call on you when we need you.

You’ll be providing tailored support to victims of domestic abuse in our refuges giving practical, emotional, and legal support so everyone feels they can live a life free from abuse.

You’ll be answering calls and emails, and be able to use our information reporting system so you’ll need to be able to use Microsoft Office and have great communication skills.

You’ll need to have your own vehicle that’s suitable to use for business use and you’ll need to complete a DBS check.
