I’m delighted to share some fantastic news about our recent inspection by the Regulator of Social Housing.

As you know, social landlords like Honeycomb Group are inspected by the Regulator to make sure we’re doing the right things when it comes to:

  • Governance – how we run the organisation
  • Financial viability – how we manage our money
  • Consumer standards – how we keep you safe, supported, and happy in your homes

I’m proud to say that we’re compliant in all areas – a brilliant result that reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams.

Governance – G1 
Previously a G2, I’m thrilled to say we have achieved G1 following significant growth. A G1 means our governance is strong and effective. It’s the top grade possible and shows our commitment to being a well-run organisation.

Financial viability – V2
We’ve been awarded V2, showing we’re financially stable and managing our resources wisely. We are in a strong position, and we have the capacity for growth across multiple areas of the organisation.

This grading is in line with other landlords across the sector as we continue to invest in health and safety and also prepare for future costs like changes to fire door regulation.

Consumer standards – C2
We’ve achieved C2 for consumer standards. This means we’re doing well but, in some areas, we need to monitor our positive progress for a longer period. An example of this is our recent repairs provider contract. As you know, we listened when you told us our previous repairs service didn’t meet your expectations and earlier this year, we worked with our Repairs Focus Customer group to find an alternative.

Although your feedback around our new Repairs Provider (LC Construction) has been very positive, we appreciate the Regulators feedback that they need more time to monitor this progress.

As I said earlier, we’re really pleased with this outcome and proud of how far we’ve come. It’s also a reminder of how important your feedback is in helping us shape services that truly work for you.
