Staying safe from cold and flu this winter

To help protect yourself and others during the colder months, keep up to date with any free vaccines you’re offered, as they reduce the risk of serious illness and help protect people with weaker immune systems. Wash your hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home if you’re unwell to avoid spreading germs. Keeping your home ventilated, staying hydrated, eating well, and getting enough rest all support your immune system, and taking extra care around vulnerable people, such as older adults or those with long-term health conditions, helps keep everyone safer through the winter.
