Honeycomb Group has been nationally recognised as one of top 50 best not-for-profit companies to work for in the UK.

The Group was voted 41st best at The Sunday Times Best Companies ceremony in London on Wednesday. The awards celebrate organisations across Britain with very good levels of employee engagement.

Late last year, all our staff took part in a survey. It found that staff believe we are keen to help people from disadvantaged backgrounds, our leadership is inspiring and we make a positive difference and make a valuable contribution to the community.

The award follows on from the full re-brand we went through in 2019.  Diane Thompson, Group Chief Executive at Honeycomb Group, said: “After speaking to our customers, staff and partners, we took the bold step to re-brand our Group to create even greater clarity about the great work we do.

“It felt the right time to build on this work by asking our staff what they think about working here. The Best Companies insight has been invaluable and will help us continue to build a culture which values and supports all our staff to achieve great things in partnership with our customers.

“We are delighted to have made such a great start, one star, nearly two on our first attempt. Its just recognition for the amazing work people do here and will help us get better and better.”

Joanne Andrew is a Project Manager and has worked at Honeycomb Group for over 30 years: “I’ve always felt proud to tell people where I work and what I do.

“It’s a sense of always feeling part of something special, something that has a fresh edge and that’s always looking to improve itself.

“We are a group of people that make good things happen every day through the support and services we provide across all our brands. It challenges us, makes us happy and it sometimes makes us sad, but we know that we are making a whole lot of difference to a whole lot of people.

“I’ve always said that you spend a lot of time at work and if you don’t love what you do why do it?”

Best Companies are the specialists whose recognition programme is the standard for workplace engagement across the UK. Their CEO and Founder, Jonathan Austin, said: “I would like to congratulate Honeycomb Group on your achievement.

“Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Honeycomb Group have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
