Honeycomb Group appoints asset management consultant Steve Wilson

Steve, an experienced housing professional, joined the Group last month. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge having previously led Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s repairs subsidiary, Unitas, through it’s first two years of operation. He also has experience gained at Gateshead Council, Mears PLC, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and most recently Birmingham City Council.

Speaking of the appointment, Chief Executive Julie Guildford Smith says:

“Steve is well-known in the sector for his ability to improve services and deliver on commitments for customers. We are delighted that he is joining the business to further strengthen the housing team and our approach to asset management, including the provision of planned and responsive repairs. This is an exciting time of change for both Staffs Housing and Honeycomb Group, that will see us increase our resilience to the challenges faced both in the sector and the wider UK economy.”

Familiar with North-Staffordshire, Steve is delighted to be working in the area again.

“Honeycomb Group is a fantastic organisation with loads of opportunity" explains Steve.

"As a place-based business, it is still very much focused on delivering what is right for the local community. I look forward to applying my experience to develop and improve services, with a keen eye on customer needs and wants.”
