Honeycomb Group welcomes building society CEO and Housing Director to ambitious board member team.

Last month, we welcomed Hanley Economic Building Society CEO, Mark Selby and Director of Housing at Women's Pioneer Housing, Jess Page to our board member team. Together they will expand financial, housing services and customer engagement knowledge and experience across the board.

Chief Executive Julie Guildford Smith welcomed Mark and Jess to the Honeycomb Group board last month, she said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mark and Jess to the Group. Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience which will compliment and expand skills and thought diversity across the team.

“As well as vast and valuable knowledge, Mark and Jess both bring a strong commitment to local people and places. Together, their skills, experience and passion will help our Group continue to grow and develop vital services and support for our neighbourhoods across North Staffordshire.”

New board member Mark brings extensive financial knowledge and experience having joined the Hanley Economic Building Society as Chief Executive Officer in November 2016. He said: “I am proud and thrilled to have the opportunity to join and support such a special organisation. It's already clear to me that the group makes a real difference to its customers.

“As CEO of Hanley Economic Building Society, helping people have their own homes is a great fit. I'm looking forward to learning how I can best help the Group support its customers.”

Director of Housing Jess also brings a vast variety of housing experience having worked within multiple welfare and tenancy support roles. Her current position at Women’s Pioneer Housing sees Jess responsible for customer services, resident engagement and complaints too, she said “I wanted to have an impact in the local area using my expertise in housing.

“I was particularly drawn to Honeycomb Group because of their good reputation in housing and the support they provide to directly solve homelessness and domestic abuse through Concrete and Glow.”
