Residents reconnect with local 'Stokie' landlord

Last year, Staffs Housing took ownership of 100 affordable homes in Meir. The homes, a mix of houses, bungalows and flats, had been owned by a Manchester social landlord. 

Since taking ownership, Housing Manager Laura has been keen to help residents reconnect with their local community. 

Earlier this year the Housing team hosted a community get together where residents were introduced to their new landlord and the teams that provide financial, repairs and tenancy support. 

"It is important for residents to be able to put a face to a name and to know we’re here for them if they need us" said Laura. "It's also a fantastic opportunity to hear residents feedback and find out how we can support them best."

"The best feedback of the day was hearing how happy residents were to have a local landlord, 'just down the road' from their home!" 

Staffs Housing, part of Honeycomb Group, now owns and manages over 3,000 homes across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
