Teams come together to increase wellbeing and support during #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

This year, teams across Honeycomb Group came together to create a week of increased support and wellbeing activities during mental health awareness week.

The teams, who belong to the Group's EDI forum, hosted wellbeing activities such as painting, dancing and walking with online and face-to-face mental health sessions available too.

Beginning conversations about mental health was also encouraged during the week. Talking can help break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all. The Group also promoted their wellbeing mentors who can offer judgement free, confidential advice and a listening ear. If they’re unable to help, they can signpost to both internal and external services to make sure people receive the support they need.

Finally, the team ended the week with a wellbeing hamper raffle which included relaxation support gifts and a local spa voucher. The raffle raised £240 which was divided between charities Glow and Concrete.

We're so proud of our EDI forum, wellbeing mentors and all who champion mental health support and conversations. We'd also like to thank our partners Changes who provided 121 sessions with staff.
