Honeycomb Group creates new role to strengthen governance across organisation

A brand-new role has been created at Honeycomb Group, aimed at supporting governance and data protection across our organisation.

Housing professional Claire Smithard will join the Group as Governance and Data Protection Business Partner on Monday 20 May.

With extensive experience of working in the housing sector, Claire has spent over 20 years at Trent & Dove in Burton-upon-Trent, much of that time focusing on data protection and governance.

The new Business Partner role will see us build on our existing work to strengthen our governance and data protection, in line with new regulation.

Chief Executive Julie Guildford Smith said: “We’re excited to welcome Claire to Honeycomb Group, in a brand-new post that will really strengthen our governance and data protection.

“Claire has extensive experience across the housing sector, and more importantly with a particular focus on governance and data protection, areas that are so important to us as an organisation. Claire will play a crucial role in ensuring that we remain compliant with new and emerging regulatory standards.

“We’re looking forward to working with Claire and utilising her skills and experience to really focus on these important areas of our organisation as we start to deliver our new five-year corporate plan.”

Claire Smithard added: “I’m really looking forward to joining Honeycomb Group and using my expertise to support their governance and data protection ambitions.

“I’m passionate about the pursuit of good governance and data protection, and love working within the housing sector, so it’s a fantastic opportunity. I can’t wait to get started, meet the team and learn everything there is to know about the organisation.”
