Honeycomb Group creates new accommodation to support people overcoming homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent

This summer, we're proud to unveil unveiled a new supported accommodation scheme, aimed at helping local people take the next steps towards independence after experiencing homelessness.

It's part of our commitment to provide affordable housing, alongside vital support and wellbeing services, for people across the city, including those affected by homelessness and domestic abuse.

The latest six-bed city centre scheme marks the latest in a series of investments and will offer a fresh start for six individuals. It is one of three new housing projects we're launching this year, each tailored to meet the needs of different communities - ranging from young people with care experience to families escaping domestic abuse.

Developed in collaboration with a socially minded landlord, the accommodation provides safe, secure, and high-quality living spaces. With private bedrooms and shared communal areas, the home is designed to balance privacy with opportunities for social connection and skill-building.

Each resident will receive personalised support to help them sustain their tenancy, develop life skills, and prepare for long-term independent living. The goal is not just to offer a roof over someone’s head, but to create a springboard for lasting change.

Dean Marsh, Senior Operations Manager at Honeycomb Group, said: “Securing this home is incredibly exciting. It means we can reach more people in more tailored ways, giving them the stability and support they deserve.

“For those overcoming homelessness, having a space like this - safe, supportive and personal - is often the foundation for lasting recovery and growth.

“It's more than just a building – it’s a real stepping stone for local people, giving them the second chance that they truly deserve.”
