We have strengthened our Honeycomb Charitable Services Board with the appointment of two new Trustees.
Through our charitable services, we provide support and wellbeing services across the domestic abuse, homelessness and home support sectors in Staffordshire, Cheshire East and Derbyshire.
This month, we are proud to announce the appointment of Arinola Adefila and Laura Knight-Williams as new Trustees, both bringing a wealth of experience across the social housing, public and voluntary sectors.
Arinola Adefila brings a wealth of academic and voluntary sector experience. Currently a Professor of Social Policy and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at Buckingham New University, her work focuses on inequality, structural marginalisation and social justice. Through her research, Arinola leads on exploring inequalities in access to services and community wellbeing, with a particular focus on supporting individuals facing homelessness, domestic abuse and wider wellbeing challenges.
Alongside her academic career, Arinola has dedicated over 25 years to voluntary work, particularly supporting vulnerable people, most recently in her current role as a Trustee at Dudley Lodge, a children’s charity.

Meanwhile, Laura Knight-Williams joins Honeycomb with significant experience in public service, governance and safeguarding. She has worked at the Home Office since 2022 in senior decision-making and investigative roles, including her current position as a Decision Maker for Modern Slavery Claims, where she assesses complex evidence and ensures fair, legally compliant outcomes.
Laura also brings valuable governance insight, having recently completed a Boardroom Apprenticeship with Sanctuary Housing and previously serving as an independent committee member at Wrekin Housing Group.

Julie Guildford Smith, Chief Executive of Honeycomb Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Arinola and Laura to Honeycomb Charitable Services as Trustees. Both bring a strong commitment to social impact and supporting people and communities, alongside valuable expertise in governance, research and public service. Their insight and experience will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver meaningful, person-centred support.”
As Trustees, Arinola and Laura will play a key role in providing strategic oversight and governance, supporting Honeycomb Charitable Services to empower individuals and communities to live healthier, happier and more independent lives, through our brands Glow, Concrete and Revival.
Speaking about her appointment, Arinola Adefila said: “I’m delighted to be joining Honeycomb Charitable Services and contributing to an organisation that is committed to tackling inequality and supporting communities. I’m particularly passionate about ensuring that the voices of people who experience services are reflected in decision-making, and I look forward to working with fellow Trustees to achieve this.”
Laura Knight-Williams added: “Honeycomb Group’s commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and meaningful social impact strongly resonates with me. I’m looking forward to contributing to robust governance and ensuring that decisions remain grounded in the needs and experiences of the communities we serve.”
