This month, Honeycomb is proud to join the Million Acts of Hope campaign, a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK.
Just one of the ways that we're making a positive difference here at Honeycomb Group is through our recently expanded homelessness partnership in Stoke-on-Trent.
The service, Destination:Home, works in partnership with Adullam, North Staffs Mind and Brighter Futures. It brings together specialist organisations to provide joined-up support for people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness across the city.
Now entering its next chapter, the partnership has been renewed and expanded for a further five years, strengthening a shared commitment to supporting local people through prevention, recovery, accommodation, outreach and long-term independence.
Last year alone, Destination:Home received 1,500 referrals from people needing support with housing and homelessness across Stoke-on-Trent. The service provides a wide range of support tailored to individual needs, including specialist accommodation, floating support, LGBTQ+ housing support, move-on assistance, peer mentoring and community-based activities.
Through Phoenix, Destination:Home’s dedicated LGBTQ+ service, 70 customers were supported last year, ensuring inclusive and specialist support for people facing homelessness.
Additionally, a further 62 people were supported through floating support services to sustain their tenancies and avoid homelessness, while seven lived experience placements helped shape and improve services through the insight of people who have experienced homelessness themselves.
Alongside housing support, Destination:Home places a strong emphasis on community connection and wellbeing. Activities such as peer mentoring, wellbeing sessions and community groups - including initiatives such as the upcoming ‘Concrete Choir’ - help customers build confidence, reduce isolation and develop meaningful connections.
But Destination:Home’s true impact is reflected in the lived experiences of the people it supports. Jack’s story is one example.

After years of addiction, health problems and homelessness, Jack came to Destination:Home feeling isolated and ashamed. With dedicated support, he’s detoxed, received vital medical care, and reconnected with his daughter. Now three months sober and in stable accommodation, Jack is focused on his recovery and building a more independent future.
His story is just one that shows the real impact of Destination:Home, providing not only housing support, but hope, recovery and a route to independence.
Proud to be part of Million Acts of Hope
As part of the Million Acts of Hope campaign, Destination:Home is celebrating the positive difference being made by individuals, services and communities across the UK.
The UK-wide campaign highlights the importance of community-led support and the everyday actions that contribute to lasting change. Destination:Home’s work sits firmly within this vision, demonstrating how partnership working, lived experience and community-based support can transform lives.
With its recently renewed five-year partnership, Destination:Home will continue to strengthen its support offer across the city, building on its success and expanding opportunities for people to access safe housing, specialist support and community connection.
At Honeycomb Group, we remain committed to working alongside partners to ensure people experiencing homelessness receive the right support at the right time - and to continuing to create more moments of hope across local communities.
