Honeycomb’s SPHERE Project Highly Commended at the Homeless Link Awards

National Recognition For Our SPHERE Service

We're proud to share that Concrete's SPHERE project has been recognised at the 2026 Homeless Link Excellence Awards, receiving a Highly Commended accolade in the Successful Partnerships category.

Delivered in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and CDAS, SPHERE supports people experiencing homelessness and addiction to access safe, stable accommodation while receiving the specialist support they need to address substance misuse and prevent the cycle of homelessness from continuing.

The Homeless Link Excellence Awards celebrate the outstanding work taking place across the homelessness sector, recognising the individuals, organisations and partnerships making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Receiving a Highly Commended recognition on a national stage is a significant achievement and reflects the impact of the SPHERE partnership.

By bringing together expertise across housing, recovery and support services, SPHERE is helping people to rebuild their lives, sustain their tenancies and move towards brighter futures.

Honeycomb Group Chief Executive, Julie Guildford Smith, said: "We're incredibly proud to see SPHERE recognised on a national stage. This highly commended award is a reflection of the dedication of our colleagues and the strength of our partnerships with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and CDAS.

"At Honeycomb Group, we know that strong partnerships help us achieve even more for the people and communities we support. By working together, we're able to combine our expertise, strengthen our impact and create opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and addiction to rebuild their lives."

This recognition is testament to the commitment, compassion and expertise of everyone involved in SPHERE, as well as the power of partnership working to create lasting change.

Congratulations to all of our colleagues and partners who have helped make this possible. Together, we're continuing to support people to find safety, stability and the opportunity to thrive.
