Safety campaign launched to protect residents using stair lifts at home

According to the British Standard Institute, an estimated 250,000 stair lift accidents occur each year. 

Staffs Housing, part of Honeycomb Group, have launched a safety campaign to help residents spot potential issues with their stair lift and encourage good practice when using them.

The housing association is also offering free inspections to all residents, regardless of who installed the stair lift.

The campaign includes a new lift safety hub which residents can access online. The hub has short, guidance videos for both stair lift and scheme lift use, easy to read safety information and contact details for residents to book their free inspection.
